About
Africa's payments infrastructure
A Cairo team building the infrastructure African banks need for modern card products.
Why enza exists
Across Africa, banks and fintechs launching card products encounter fragmented infrastructure for accepting, clearing, and settling transactions. Each card scheme requires its own integration, fraud tools often sit outside the flow, and settlement timing differs by corridor and correspondent bank.
enza brings that complexity into one API, covering acceptance, fraud scoring, clearing, and settlement. It is built for African bank infrastructure and card scheme rules.
We chose Cairo because the Egypt and North Africa corridor is a high-growth card payment market, and because the city has strong technical talent in financial infrastructure engineering.

Principles
How we build
Fit the context
African card infrastructure has distinct latency limits, corridor rules, and scheme requirements. We build around those conditions rather than applying a global template.
Composable by default
Banks and fintechs connecting to enza can adopt every capability or choose individual components. The API fits alongside existing systems instead of replacing them wholesale.
Fraud-first infrastructure
At enza, fraud detection is built into the clearing pipeline from the first line of code. Every bank using enza receives AI fraud scoring as a standard capability.
